Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani insists that coach Carlo Ancelotti is not at risk of being sacked but he has warned him that he must stop losing immediately.
The Rossoneri have made no secret that they are going all out for the Scudetto this season, but they have made a disastrous start in this quest, losing their first two Serie A games.
This afternoon the World Club champions put in a desperately disappointing performance at the Stadio Ferraris, going down almost without a limp, 2-0 to Genoa.
There were reports in the press prior to the game that Ancelotti could be sacked if Milan lost, but Galliani insists that the coach isn’t at risk, even if he has warned him that he must stop losing.
“Ancelotti is starting his eighth season with Milan and I think few coaches can boast such a long run at a single club,” said the bald-headed transfer guru.
“Ancelotti does not run any risk, even if we lost today, but he would do well to stop losing. This isn’t an issue with the Coach, it is a problem that we have played eight games since the end of July and lost seven of them. This just won’t do.
“The coach running a risk is not what is up for debate here, however Milan’s performances right now are not good enough. That doesn’t mean I want to change the coach, but it is the job of a director to give his technical staff some guidance.”
Some people argue that Milan need a new coach to give them a spark, as things have become stale under the long-serving Ancelotti.
“There are examples of coaches who remain at the same side for a long time, such as Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger in England. That is what we’re trying to follow,” Galliani insisted.
“I repeat, Ancelotti does not risk the sack, but he’d better stop losing.”
Next week Milan will be hoping to stop the rot when they host top-of-the-table Lazio at the Stadio Meazza.

赛前已经有媒体报道称，如果米兰输球，安切洛蒂就会下课。但是加利亚尼坚持表示安切洛蒂的帅位没有危险，不过他也警告说，球队不能再这么输球。
“安切洛蒂正开始他在米兰的第八个赛季，我认为没有多少主教练能够在一家俱乐部中执教这么长时间，”加利亚尼赛后说道。
“虽然今天我们输了，但是安切洛蒂的帅位没有危险，但是他应该想办法停止输球。这并不是主教练的问题，我们的问题在于从7月底以来的8场比赛中输掉了7场。这样可不行。”
“现在我们要讨论的不是主教练是否有下课的危险，而是米兰的表现不够好。这不是说我想要更换主教练，但是作为俱乐部的主管，需要给他的技术人员提供一些引导。”
有些人认为现在的AC米兰确实需要换帅来给球队以刺激，因为安切洛蒂执教的时间已经太长。
“长期在一家俱乐部执教的主教练有很多例子，比如弗格森和温格，我们也希望像他们一样。”加利亚尼坚持表示。
“我要重申，安切洛蒂没有危险，但是他最好不要再输球。”
下周AC米兰将在圣西罗迎战状态上佳的拉齐奥，蓝鹰在前两轮中取得两连胜，但红黑军团似乎已经走到了非胜不可的地步。 |
