MILAN
Dida: 8.5 – May have conceded twice, but produced a string of brilliant stops in the second half to win Milan the match. The last from Matri is a contender for save of the season.
Abate: 6 – Provided the cross that led to Astori's own goal, Abate did largely okay against Lazzari.
T.Silva: 5.5 - The Brazilian defender started well, but was given increased problems as the game wore on by Matri in particular. Can't do it all by himself in defence.
Favalli: 4.5 - Will be having nightmares tonight about youngster Ragatzu who caused him all kinds of headaches. Favalli was at fault for the 18-year-old's goal too.
Antonini: 5.5 – As a whole, Antonini was terrorised by Cossu down his side, but he performed a goal-saving tackle on the trequartista that earns him an improved mark.
Seedorf: 7.5 – Brilliant in the first half. Created the first for Borriello, and provided an even better set-up for Antonini that should have resulted in a goal. A little lazy in the closing stages.
Ambrosini: 5.5 – The veteran can count himself lucky not to see red today. Committed countless fouls, was yellow carded, and was too anxious.
Pirlo: 5.5 – Off the pace this afternoon. Looked tired, and was to blame for Cagliari's second equaliser as he lost the ball in midfield.
Huntelaar: 7.5 – Scored a wonder-goal from 30 yards to put Milan 2-1 ahead, and could have added a second. Linked up well with Seedorf.
Borriello: 8 – A welcome return to form. Scored one, and could have had a hat-trick with improved finishing. Held the ball up and bullied the Cagliari centre-back pair.
Ronaldinho: 7 – Not at his very best, but still did more than enough to cause Cagliari problems with some delightful touches.
Substitutions
Zambrotta: 6 – Brought on to help shore up the defence.
