MILAN
Abbiati - 4: Did not have a single save of note to make this evening until a dreadful clearance in the last minute resulted in Bojinov scoring the winner.
Zambrotta - 6.5: Steady rather than spectacular before being subbed for Abate. Slowly working his way back to full fitness, and will be glad to have got another 60 minutes under his belt.
Thiago Silva - 7: Breezed through the evening, and comfortably dealt with the dual threat of Biabiany and Crespo. Helpless on Bojinov's winner.
Favalli - 6.5: Was at fault for Crespo's early chance, but did okay thereafter and made some good interceptions.
Antonini - 6.5: Is fast turning into Milan's most reliable full back, and he could not be blamed for where the original shot came from on Parma's winner as Abbiati should not make such poor clearances.
Gattuso - 6: While he was by no means a disaster, the hardman again showed he is a player of yesterday. Passing was poor.
Pirlo - 7: Controlled much of the game, and produced a brilliant pass for Inzaghi eight minutes from time that should have resulted in a goal. Loses marks for his injury time red card.
Flamini - 7: Ran himself into the ground, and was a key reason why Milan won the midfield battle. Left his shooting boots at home, though.
Seedorf - 6: One of Milan's most creative players in the first half, but went completely missing after the interval.
Borriello - 4: A complete non-entity. Failed to hold the ball up, and was incredibly immobile. Seems to have killed off his World Cup hopes these past weeks.
Ronaldinho - 6.5: A few moments of inspiration, but all in all this just wasn't Ronaldinho's night. Went close with one effort just after half time.
Substitutes
Abate - 6: Added some pace down the right, but his crosses didn't reach their targets.
Inzaghi - 6: Milan created chances due to his movement, but he missed a golden chance with seven minutes remaining.
Huntelaar - N/A: A last throw of the dice by Leonardo, not given enough time to really get involved. |
