Introduction <0001>
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This guide is written with the basic understanding that you've read
the manual and are vaguely familiar with the RPG/SRPG genre. I'm not
going to spend time explaining things like game controls, or unit
movement.
I'm going to minimize plot summary events and try and be as spoiler
free as possible. Some things such as unit names can't be avoided.
For instance, if I say kill XYZ unit, and that unit happens to be allied
with you the previous map... well you know pretty much what is going to
happen. I'm not going to have detailed maps, but I will mention the terrain
advantages/disadvantages, where you should generally move, what level
you should generally be, and map events that would hinder your progress.
A lot of maps will simply be... kill everything there is on the field.
Not a lot of description needs to go in to telling you how to do that,
so this guide may appear bare.
This guide will take you through the normal game as well as the alternate
demon path. I'll show you how to acquire all the endings in one playthrough.
There are alternate endings depending if you choose male or female, but the
gameplay and how to acquire them are the exact same.
I do not focus on or use the story characters. There are events that happen
that don't allow you to keep some of these, and it can be devastating
if you have a squad built around them. Also, you don't get to keep them
on following playthroughs (they must be unlocked again, but retain
all of their stats).
This guide will not focus on stealing/combining with town residents, but
I'll mention some of them. It is NOT necessary to do these actions to
complete the game, they merely serve as enhancements.
The Decors that I recommend for story battles are just recommendations
for the most part. They aren't necessary, but will help out a bit if
you are underlevelled. Don't stress out if you don't have or can't
find the appropriate decor to use for a fight. Chances are, you won't
absolutely need it anyways.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Basic Game Mechanics <0002>
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Units: Generic or story characters. Individuals.
Squad: A group of units.
Leader: A unit selected as a leader of a squad. The hero will ALWAYS
be the leader of a squad.
Slots: The amount of units able to occupy a room.
Rooms: Your squads are defined as rooms. I'll use the terminology squad to
refer to the actual units occupying the room. Each room can have up to
3 slots in each category: F(ront), M(iddle), R(ear). As you progress
the game, you'll acquire more rooms and more room spots.
Decor: This is the room's "equipment". Decor lasts for one story battle,
or multiple inspection battles. Every room (except for Open Area) will
come with a fixed decor that will last forever. Decors with the same
name WILL NOT STACK.
Change: This is the function in the Arrange screen that will allow you
to RANDOMLY change your rooms. The slots that a room gains will also
be randomly generated. As you progress the story, you'll unlock the
ability to have more slots.
Home: The Home room. You can purchase them as a 2xF, 1xM, 2xR type room
immediately. It is not necessary to purchase the Home room to use a room
of that type. Using the Change function will randomly assign rooms.
Lock: Locks are the ability to lock-in a room formation and squad. When
you use Change, any room that isn't locked will Change. As you progress
in the game, you'll get more room locks.
Buff: Anything that boosts your stats temporarily. There 2 types of
buffs in this game. There's buffs in the field, and buff during
skirmishes. Buffs in the field will provide an initial boost of stats,
and then wear off over time. The length of time is determined by the
skill level of the caster of the buff. Buffs cast during skirmishes
last only for that skirmish. They are applied before any damage is
dealt to maximize effect.
Debuff: Like buffs, except harmful. You can apply debuffs to enemies, for
example, to lower their stats or movement. Debuffs are very valuable when
attempting to tackle enemies that are higher level than yourself.
Turn: A unit of measurement of time. A turn is defined as a number of
cycles (200-250, I need confirmation).
Action: When a unit can perform an action. An action is defined as
Move, plus one of the following: Gig Edict use, Attack, Defend,
or Field Skill. Note: you can't use Move after Defend is chosen. You
can however, Move before you Defend.
Cycle: An invisble counter to determine Turn length. ACT will increase
the amount of actions you can perform in a turn (theoretically by
increasing your counter value).
Attack: Your basic attack. You'll be thrown into a skirmish mode with
whoever it is you are attacking. The AI here is based on the matching
system. For instance, Archers are good match vs. Clerics. You may
notice that all your Archers target a Cleric, and don't see to
damage other units. You may think this is "wasted" attacks, but
the game carries out all attacks simultaneously. To the game system,
all Archers attacking a Cleric will maximize damage. For this reason,
having varied units in a squad can be helpful.
Defend: This reduces all incoming damage by 30%. The caveat here
is that when you choose to Defend, you can't counterattack. It's
rarely used, but can be combined with some decors to reduce
incoming damage to almost nothing.
Move: This moves your squad on the field map. How far you move is
determined by your squad leader's ACT. The squad leader's terrain
type also determines movement. For instance, Nereids have a terrain
type of Sea. When moving on water panels, they have an easier time.
Field Skill: These are generally buffing spells that you can use
with an active unit. Field skills have no requirements, other
than using up your attack for the turn. Some will debuff enemies,
and others can directly harm enemies. These are EXTREMELY powerful
and as such, limited in the number of uses per map. Every use of
a field skill will increase the effectiveness of that skill. Buff
and debuff skills will last longer, while damaging/healing skills
will deal more damage and heal for more.
Combo Skill: These are available when your unit attacks. If
you have met the requirements to obtain them (determined by
squad formation), and have below 80% STM, then these are available
when you select attack. Most will focus solely on the Leader of
the enemy squad, usually hitting for large amounts of damage. They
also have fixed attack formations.
It should be noted that using a Combo happens AFTER your normal attack.
If you select Attack > Combo, and the initial attack kills all the
enemies the combo would hit, then the Combo is still used up as if
it had taken place. Like Field Skills, their use is limited, but
regenerates every map.
Terrain: When you hover over a terrain with an active squad, you'll
see a % next to it. This is the terrain bonus that staying on that
panel confers. It can be positive or negative. The types of
terrain bonuses and penalties are determined by the squad leader.
Shops: These are located in the Arrange Menu (after unlocking
them). You can make purchases here, and then use the Gig Edict
Fight to level them up so they sell better things. The Gig Edict
Shop should be about lv 4 or so. After that, they start selling
things you really don't need. As for the Decor Shop, feel free
to level it up as soon as possible and as much as possible. Shops
will regenerate inventory after every battle (story or inspection).
Unit Stats:
HP : Hit Points. Determines how much punishment a unit can take.
ATK: Attack Power. Determines physical damage output.
DEF: Defense. Determines damage reduction from physical attacks.
HIT: Hit. Determines if you can hit an enemy (magical and physical).
INT: Intelligence. Determines magical damage output.
SPD: Speed. Determines avoidance (magical and physical).
RES: Resistance. Determines magical damage reduction.
STM: Stamina. Determines how many actions a unit can perform. Special
combo skills can only be used if your squad is below 80% stamina.
Most actions use 5 Stamina. This includes movement and
counterattacks but it varies depending on terrain. Only the squad
leader's STM matters. When this decreases below 50%, you'll
begin to lose some stats on a % basis. Generally this won't
matter a lot, but it can mean a death sentence if it's compounded
by bad attack matchup (beware Gypsies). The maximum value for
this is 200.
ACT: Action. Determines how far a squad can move, and how frequent it
takes a turn. Only the squad leader's ACT matters. The maximum
value for this is 50.
RNG: Range. Determines how far away a squad can attack an enemy. Only
the leader's RNG matters. The maximum base value for this is 9.
SKL: Skill. Determines how many inherent times a character or squad
can use skills on a map. The maximum value for this 20.
FUP: Leader Adjustment. Determines what percentage of a unit's stat
are added to the squad leader's stats. This is useless for the
squad leader, but very useful for other squad members. The
maximum value for this is 99.
CRT: This is a hidden stat on units. It determines the rate at
which a unit will score a critcal hit. If someone would be
so kind as to data mine and find out the base unit CRT for all
units, I'll include it in the Unit Info section. I only mention
it here for completeness.

Normal Path Walkthrough <0003>
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
You'll begin by selecting your gender and name of your character.
Gender makes little difference (although some endings/dialog are
different). The female voice grated on me, so I picked male. Pick
whatever your preference is. To view all the endings, you'll have to
come back and pick the opposite one in a following playthrough.

<After Battle>

Format:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle >
The battle number and name will be referenced here
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
What you should do before heading into battle.
(Decor) means what decors you should equip.
I'll give squad formations as well.
<Objective>
What the objectives are for the map. 99% of them will be to simply
kill all the enemies on the map.
<Battle>
Specific hints about the battle.
<After Battle>
(Steal) - I'll mention things you can steal. Usually it'll be decors
you can't normally obtain. It is HIGHLY recommend that you save your
progress BEFORE attempting to steal. Failure to steal will lead you
into some serious debt.
(Combine) - Using the Gig Edict Transform (or higher forms) on citizens
will yield stat boost increases for your main character. Some are high
level, some are not. I'll make recommendations as to the best times of
when to power up these stats. Sometimes you'll fight Heroman. In this
case, you'll usually lose. Everytime you defeat Heroman, he gains 10
levels, up to lv 100. Losing has no affect on things, so don't bother
with saving/reloading. You can also Combine with whoever/whenever
you feel like. I'm just making recommendations.
(Fight) - I'll make recommendations on who to fight. The GP amount
can vary from what I have listed. You can feel free to fight anyone
though. Fighting can yield you a lot of cash, especially early on.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle 01>
Hidden Village
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
None.
<Objective>
Win or Lose
<Battle>
In this fight, you'll be pitting against Danette. The game will
explain how to move and how to attack. Win or lose, it doesn't matter
and won't affect anything.
<After Battle>
You'll get an option to branch the storyline here. On your 2nd cycle
or higher, selecting the conversation option "..." and then "You
annoy me" will start you down the dark road of the Demon Path. It
should be noted that the Demon Path is diffi*** unless you are
moderately high level. Give her the other response to continue.
For the Demon Path Walkthrough, see <0005>
<Dialog Option>
You should select the dialog option "Take a Bath" when it appears.
This will increase Gig's favorable reaction to you. (+1 if male, +2
if female). You can also increase a character's reaction by using
combo skills with that character and the hero.
The character with the most reaction points will determine which
ending you get. Gig is the ONLY character that you can not manipulate
the ending for through battle combos. For this reason, dialog options
will always be selected as favoring Gig or neutral in this
walkthrough when available.
If this is your second cycle, and you're ~lv 5-6 or so, you
can optionally do the following here:
(Fight)
Buff Veteran Ben - 5000 GP
Cool Tough Guy Van - 5000 GP
(Kidnap)
Buff Veteran Ben - Redflank
Cool Tough Guy Van - Redflank
You can get these 2 guys as early Redflanks. When I mention
Knights later on in the front row of secondary squads, sub in these
guys instead.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle 02>
Hidden Village South
(only available on your first cycle)
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
Go to the Arrange menu, and put a Swordsman in the front rank.
Put a Pyremage and Cleric in the back. Note: we are not using story
characters for this walkthrough. A swordman will function just as well
as Danette for our purposes.
=================================================
F | M | R
=================================================
Hero | x | x |
x | Pyremage | Cleric |
Soldier | x | x |
<Objective>
Kill all enemies
<Battle>
Start by using Last Act. It's a good habit to get into using this
immediately for EVERY battle, as it will increase your movement
and your turn order. Whenever you don't have a unit in range,
use Iron Will or Courage to further increase your stats.
Plow through the enemy here. There's some Swordsman, but they
shouldn't pose any threat whatsoever.
<After Battle>
Nothing of note.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle 03>
Northwestern Raide
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
Go to the Arrange menu and buy a Gladiatorium and select it as your room.
This will give you a 5 slot room with the following formation:
2xF, 1xM, 2xR. Place a cleric and a pyremage in the R slots, and a
solider in the front and middle rows.
=================================================
F | M | R
=================================================
Hero | x | Pyremage |
x | Soldier | x |
Soldier | x | Cleric |
The Gladitorium has a fixed decor of Death Charge. For every panel
that your squad moves, you'll gain 5% more attack. Even if you are close
to an enemy unit, it's often worth it to move around behind the unit to
maximize this bonus. You'll use this room for quite a while.
<Objective>
Kill all enemies
<Battle>
Move your unit to the east. Slaughter one of the knights, and then
head south towards Galahad. Fight other Knight units along the way
as they approach. When you reach Galahad, you can use a Demon Blast
on him to finish him off quickly.
<After Battle>
Visit the item shop in the Arrange screen and buy some Fights,
Kidnaps, and Combine type edicts.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle 04>
Northwestern Raide
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
None.
<Objective>
Lose to Fienne
<Battle>
Kill the two knight parties, then move up to Fienne and die.
Gig will then speak with you. If you give into your desires to become
all-powerful, he'll toss you a Max Gigify, which will increase your
level by 2000. Fienne's an easy target after that. Enjoy it. Oh, start
this walkthrough over after you do that.
If this is your second cycle, select the option that you don't need
any help. You'll retreat the battle.
<After Battle>
Nothing of note.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle 05>
Hidden Village South
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
(Decor)
Flower Dance
Patriotism
<Objective>
Kill all enemies.
<Battle>
Rush towards Dio. Let your counterattacks deal with the others. Be sure
to stay on the Plains terrain if you're using Flower Dance decor.
<After Battle>
Nothing of note.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle 06>
Path To Astec
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
(Decor)
Flower Dance
Patriotism
<Objective>
Kill all enemies.
<Battle>
You'll fight Bandits in this fight. The trick here is to remember where
the cursor/map screen is centered at when they use Hide. It's a gimmicky
fight, but you'll have access to bandits afterwards.
<After Battle>
Bandits available.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle 07>
Astec
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
(Decor)
Puppy Love
Total Guard
Wind Rhapsody
<Objective>
Kill all enemies
<Battle>
Head towards the road as soon as possible to take advantage of Wind
Rhapsody decor. The archers here REALLY enjoy killing your cleric.
The pyremage squad is likewise annoying, but if you attack it first,
you should be able to kill it in one go.
<After Battle>
Archers available.
(Combine)
Triblade Worker
Tavern Mama (+28 HP)
(Fight)
Tavern Mama (50,000 GP)

------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle 08>
Raide Oceanside
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
Alright, it's time to use that Change function. A lot. Keep using change
until you get something similar to this for maximum damage:
Gladiatorium
=================================================
F | M | R
=================================================
x | Archer | Pyremage |
Hero | x | x |
x | Archer | Cleric |
Note: The placement of the Hero doesn't matter, as long as he's upfront.
Likewise, the placement of the 2 archers doesn't matter as long as they
are in the middle, and the pyremage/cleric doesn't matter, as long as
they are in the rear.
Lock this room when you get the proper formation.
You should have access to a second room by now. Use the change ability
to make another similar room as the above in a Los Banditos room.
1xF, 2xM, 2xR.
Stock this with a solider up front, 2 archers in the mid, and 1 archer
and 1 cleric in the rear. Make one of the middle line archers leader.
DON'T TAKE A LOT OF TIME DOING THIS. If you get the formation, you get
it. If not, just ignore it. You'll get 6 unit formations soon, and those
are optimal. This squad will be your "sniping" squad. The basic idea here
is that as soon as your summon this squad, they'll be able to take an
action and finish off whoever/whatever is close or is approaching.
Similarly, if you want, you can begin to get 3x3 rooms at this point.
Simply use the Change feature until you get a Los Banditos room with
the Bad Vibes that look like Pyremages (Cleaners). Every 3rd battle,
visit the Arrange screen, and they'll free up another slot in the room
that they are in (up to 9 slots). After they have "cleaned" out your room,
simply kill them to make the room usable. It'll cost you some GP to do
this, but it is well worth it to acquire massive squads this early in
the game.
(Decor)
Total Guard
Sniper's Law
Wind Rhapsody
<Objective>
Kill all enemies
<Battle>
Head towards the road again to maximize your decor of Wind Rhapsody.
There's no Archers or Pyremages to deal with, so this is a pretty
easy fight. This is also probably the first fight you'll think about
using the Gig Edict in the Nap class. If your stamina runs low, don't
feel bad about using it. You can also stand still during a turn to
regain some stamina.
<After Battle>
Nothing of note.

<Battle>
Stick close the mystery man and try and pick off as many kills as you

secondary squads.

<Objective>

<Battle>
You can fight whatever you feel like on this map, but going up
against Thorndyke's unit is going to be a pain. Just keep moving as
far as you can east, and you'll end the map.
<After Battle>
Nothing of note.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Battle 12>
Hidden Tree Forest
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
You'll start seeing 6 unit slot rooms now. Generalization is also
available. The fixed decor of Holy War is great for single-squad use,
as it nearly always gives you a 20% bonus to stats. If you're using
secondary squads, skip Generalization, and just keep Gladitorium.
You can start using Change to try and get this formation for your rooms:
Again, it's not necessary to take a lot of time to get this exact
formation, although it is helpful. 2 archers and a pyremage in the rear
is usually more than enough damage to kill enemies with ease. A cleric
is a must-have, as well as the hero up front to soak up damage.
Generalization
=================================================
F | M | R
=================================================
x | Archer | Pyremage |
Hero | x | Pyremage |
x | Archer | Cleric |
Similary for secondary squads, you'll want:
Los Banditos

Los Banditos
=================================================

=================================================
x | Pyremage | Pyremage |
Knight | x | Pyremage(L) |

While not necessary, the secondary squads will help you kill a bit
faster. Again, the idea here is that as soon as you summon these guys,
they'll be able to thrash/weaken whatever units are left immediately.
(Decor)

<Battle>
This map requires a lot of running around. You may have to wait a few

Some reinforcements will show up near your starting spawn area. If
you're using a secondary squad, summon one right off the bat, and leave
him in that area. If you're following my recommendation of Los Banditos
rooms, have your secondary units use stat boosting Gig Edicts on your
main squad. Head to the western side up the road, and take care of the
enemies there. When the reinforcements arrive, your units you left
back will dispatch them with ease.
If you aren't using secondary squads, you'll need to rest or use Nap
edicts to recover lost STM after you finish off the guys to the west.
<After Battle>
Astec City
Speak to Security Officer to receive Protein Shake decor.

This battle can be mildly annoying. You'll get to see some Sabateurs
in action. They have the annoying ability to drop mines. If you see
them drop one, try and take an alternate path or eliminate them with
a ranged secondary squad.
When that squad is eliminated, head down to Galahad and kill him.
A Demon Blast should take care of him nicely.
You may see Whirwind reinforcements. Just eliminate those, and
finish out the map.

You can sub in a Sabateur for a Pyremage in the back row if you want
to play around with them. Generally though, they deal a lot less damage.
Sabateurs are GREAT if you are overlevelled, as their attack from the
rear hits the entire enemy squad. Plus if you're using two Pyremages,
you can use the same decor to boost both of them (Taboo Spell).
(Decor)
Graceful Form

<Objective>
Kill all enemies.
<Battle>
This battle can be moderately diffi***. Shauna's squad is a Gypsy, and
a very bad matchup for the Hero's unit. However, if you've followed
this walkthrough about the suggestion for secondary squads in a Los
Banditos room, then you can severely weaken her before engaging. Simply
move near her, summon your other 2 squads (archers and pyremages), and
then blast her away. If she's still alive, finish her off with a Demon
Blast combo. DO NOT ENGAGE SHAUNA WITH LOW STAMINA.

Silent Walk (If available)
*Note: feel free to level up your Decor Shop as much as you want.
To do this, hit the Square Button when you select Buy/Sell a decor
and select a Fight Gig Edict. Your merchant be at least Rank 4 to sell
Silent Walk.
<Objective>
Kill all enemies.
<Battle>
The Silent Walk decor will make you unable to be targetted for 3 turns.
In this fight, that will allow you to eliminate at least 2 or 3 of the
enemy units without having their nasty field skills hitting you. The
Hydrone field skill of Ensnare reduces your ACT and SPD, and makes
movement an utter pain. On top of that, they'll hit you with Riptide,
which can decimate your cleric and pyremages.
Using secondary squads and summoning them AFTER Silent Walk wears off
will make this battle a lot easier. Los Banditos is a great secondary

Ohhh boy. It's time to play the shuffle game again. If you haven't
checked, you'll have access to the room with Outer Limit as a fixed
decor. At first glance, this room seems average, but once you start
using it, you'll never go back to anything else again.
The fixed decor here means that for every % your STM goes down, you
gain that % in stats. Basically it means you're immune to STM decrease,
and you'll GAIN 50% stats anytime you're below 50% STM. The best thing
is to try and maintain your STM between 30-60%. But you can let it run
really low (down to 20-30 even) as long as you have enough for counters
and movement. Keep in mind that doing nothing will gain 14 STM or so.
Keep shuffling until you get a 7 (or more) formation in a
Hades' Despair. Spend time doing this, as it will be the last room you
use for the rest of the game, including the Demon Path. If you are
REALLY high level (~30ish or so), you can inspect the room and gain
some stars for it just to make the game even more one-sided. Even
clearing just 2-3 floors will have a large impact here.

Archer/Pyremage/Cleric combo. Having 2 of them in your squad will
just unlock a Redflank Combo, Tremor. It's not entirely powerful,
but it DOES hit their entire squad. Usually it's enough to blow
away weaker Clerics that are possibly hiding in the back.

This battle introduces you to Drache units. They are not bad, but
suffer from a HORRIBLE hit stat. You'll be able to slaughter these
guys, as the enemies are only packing 2-3 units per squad. You can
play around with the Drache units in the rear of your squads, as
they'll attack the entire enemy squad at once. Unfortunately, they
tend to miss a lot, and their damage is divided severely for hitting
the entire squad (whether or not more units or present doesn't
matter).
My advice is to just stick with the pyremages that you have.

Make a separate Save File here. If you wish to see Levin and
Endorph's Ending you'll need to start from this point.
For those seeking the Levin Ending, use at least 9 combos with Levin

If you are seeking any other ending, ignore this step.
****NOTE****
Continue on with the story until Endorph joins. Levin leaves your
party at this point.
****NOTE****
Like the Levin entry above, you'll need to bring Endorph into an
inspection dungeon and use his combo attack with the hero at least
9 times to view his ending. It goes without saying, don't do both
at the same time. Pick EITHER Levin or Endorph. Do this as soon
as you unlock him. If you aren't seeking the Endorph ending,

<Battle>
Ugh, this an ANNOYING battle. There's a ton of desert terrain.
Movement costs are increased, and you'll spend a lot navigating this
lengthy terrain. To top it off, reinforcements arrive near your
starting position. I recommend you summon secondary squads there
and leave them, so you don't have to backtrack. The enemy Saboteurs
are also deadly, because they like to spam Mine Trap in that narrow
corridor. Have some Nap type edicts handy, and prepare for a long
battle.
The decors I've recommended for this fight are to improve your
movement, decrease STM cost, and allow you to act quicker. Not
having them isn't a big deal, but with them, you'll beat them map
in nearly 1/2 the time.

Congrats! This is the last battle! If you inspect Drazil's decor,
you'll see a glaring flaw with this guy. Even though he's level 642,
his decor is giving him +100 levels for each Drazil squad on the map.
Simply eliminate the squads, stay out of range of his attacks, and
smack him down to a manageable lv 42. For the quickest route, use
your secondary and tertiary squads with archers and pyremages to deal
with the Drazillians along the sides. Their range should keep them
well out of harm's way (hint: use the barriers).

Endings Guide <0004>
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
There are multiple endings to this game, some with additional dialog,
and some with additional artwork. To determine which ending you
receive, the game uses a points system based on the conversation
topics you select, and the frequency of combo attacks carried out with
a particular character and the hero. BE SURE TO STAY AFTER THE
CREDITS FOR ADDITIONAL DIALOG AND/OR ARTWORK.
There's also another set of endings depending on if your hero is male
or female.
If you're followed the walkthrough, the endings will be easy to get
in one playthrough. The basic idea is to beef up Gig's relationship
to the hero through the conversation points, and then at the end of the
game, "engineer" the other endings you wish to see through Combo
Attacks. Gig can't combo with the hero, and therefore can't gain
any points except through conversation.
The branching path begins at Battle 43 before Endorph joins and
Levin leaves. At this point, directly AFTER the battle, you should
create a new save file. Use an inspection dungeon and Combo Attack
with the hero and Levin at least 9 times. Continue on with the game.
At battle 44, if everything worked fine, it should give you the
option to yell "LEVIN". Finish out the game, and you'll get his
ending.
Reload your game, and repeat the process for Endorph after he joins.
Continue on with the story. Before the last map, save the game and
view Endorph's ending. Then, reload the game, and do an inspection
dungeon with whatever character you want the next ending for.
Combo with the hero and the desired character at least 10 times,
and you'll view their ending. Reload from that point, and repeat
for all the characters. For Gig's ending, simply do nothing.

The Demon Path <0005>
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The Demon Path can be accessed any time after your first cycle. You can
even start it after cycling at map 4, but it's not recommended. The
first battle can be handled easily at a low level, but after that, the
levels ramp up steeply.
When Layna asks you if you understand you responsibility, choose "..."
After that, choose "You annoy me is all", and you'll being your journey
down Demon Lane.
There's 15 maps in total, and no towns to visit.
Mostly the demon path will offer you some extra character development
and alternate scenarios. It's great fun! If you've beaten the game
(which I recommend to do), you should be about level 60 or more, and
have access to Gideons. The Demon Path will prove no challenge.
Optimal setup:
===============================================
Front | Middle | Rear
===============================================
Gideon | Archer | Pyremage
Hero | Archer | Pyremage
Gideon | Archer | Cleric
===============================================
You can substitute a Gideon for any of the Archers or Pyremages as
well. I prefer to keep the units I had, because I had invested some
upgrades in them. But Gideons surely make the game a breeze, so do
whatever. Personally, I don't like the looks of the Gideons myself.
You can also play around with a 9x unit of Gideons just for fun.
Whee!
There's also no additional units to unlock (except for story
characters). Again, I don't focus on the story characters, so
experiment with them all you want, but I'm leaving them out of this
walkthrough. Just note that you can't keep the characters after
finishing the Demon Path. Like the Normal Path story characters,
they retain all their stats, but must be unlocked again.

Avoid Raksha. Like the other World Eaters, he can't move, and has a
RNG of 4. You can stand 5 squares outside of him, and use Demon Blast,
or simply use a secondary Archer squad with +1 RNG. If you can't
beef them up, use True Form and Distant Omen on your Archer unit.
Summon them AFTER everything else is dispatched for an easy win
against Raksha. Distant Omen will not let your unit move, so be
very careful where you place the unit.
As for the other units, there's not really much of note, except
for Layna's squad. If you can take that out, do it. Everything else
should be a breeze. Even Dio should die fairly quickly.
Congrats! You've beaten the demon path! Enjoy the ending.
**Also note: LOSING this battle triggers a different ending. If you
have a save directly before this battle (and you should), simply
reload and die in the fight. Standing still in Raksha's area of
attack without striking him should kill you eventually, even if
you're high level.

This battle will be easy. If you've saved up the cash for the edict
your first playthrough, chances are you're in the high 40's anyways.
Just plow through everyone here, and you'll unlock Lujei. She'll
stay with you from cycle to cycle. Her rear attack damages the
entire enemy squad, and she'll gain massive amounts of Int when
she levels up. She's a viable replacement for a Pyremage. As a leader,
she has Teleport, which is an awesome skill for mobility.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Extra Stage 02>
-----
Asagi
-----
To access this stage, defeat Fienne when you first encounter her
on the normal path.
<Pre-Battle Preparation>
(Decor)
<None>
<Objective>
Kill all enemies.
<Battle>
This battle is extremely diffi*** unless you are around lv 500 or so.
Secondary squads can use decors, but the decors on your main squad is
disabled. If you have high level secondary squads, you can summon them,
and simply hide away your main squad. Archers/Pyremages are recommended
for the Gideons, as they explode when you defeat them. Pyremages also
are a good matchup against Asagi, as are Phynx, Redflanks, and
Bareknuckles. Having a squad leader as one of those types will yield
a lot of extra damage against her.
One strategy is to lure off Asagi (because of her teleport) and
ignore the Gideons. After you kill her, go back and mop up the Gideons
with secondary squads. You can also save up Gigify Edicts to take
her out at an earlier level. Good luck, you'll need it!
Having a squad with 2x Gypsy (one as leader) will allow you access to
Sanity Salsa. This will allow one of your units to take an immediate
turn. It's extremely helpful on fights like this.
Also, it should be noted that you can unlocked multiple copies of
Asagi. She works pretty well as a front unit (all squad attack), even
though her DEF stat isn't the greatest. Same for rear attacks. There
are better units to select from... but it's ASAGI!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
<Extra Stage 03>
------
Median

To access this stage, have Reveal Path 2 Edict in your vault or
inventory after Battle 34, but before heading to Corsius.

<Choice>
Tyrant Stare
Silent Walk
Death Fist
<Objective>
Kill all enemies.
<Battle>
These guys are lv 1500 or so, and Median is at 2k. Their stats are
massive. Picket Line is essential on this stage. You can use the fixed
decor for Paw Day, or for Outer Limit. Either way, try and take both
of them. For a 4th decor, Silent Walk buys you 3 TURNS when you won't
be attacked, and Death Fist will instant-kill everything if you don't
care about xp (except for Median, of course). Tyrant Stare will
lower the stats of any units around you, also very helpful. If you've
cycled a lot doing the Asagi stage, or just choosing to give into Gig
early when you fight Fienne, Paw Day will yield you massive stats. You
could probably take out this stage as early as lv 500 if that's the
case.
Having a squad with 2x Gypsy (one as leader) will allow you access to
Sanity Salsa. This will allow one of your units to take an immediate
turn. It's extremely helpful on fights like this.
Remember, there are two endings to this stage: defeating the stage, and
losing on the stage. Median will join you after the stage is defeated.
He joins at lv. 2000.

COMING SOON!!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
The Bad Vibes <0008>
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Bad Vibes can be obtained randomly when using the Change feature from
the Arrange screen. While not intuitive, you can't lock a room with
Vibes in it, and you can't use another Change, or face losing your
current Vibes. Also, it should be noted that you can't have two Bad
Vibes at once, either.
Because of this, you'll want to reap all the bonuses you can and try to
engineer which rooms and which vibes you want.
These aren't listed in the manual, so here's the list of Vibes in
the game and what they do. Also of importance is the incubation time
of the vibes. After they've incubated, you can trigger their event and
reap the rewards.
Bad Vibes FAQ
Q: How do I trigger Bad Vibes?
A: Use the Change Button, and they'll appear randomly on any room that
isn't locked.
Q: What does Time mean?
A: Time is the incubation time before you get any benefits. Only
Inspection Battles and Story Battles will count.
Q: What is Cost?
A: This the Cost that the Vibes will charge you based on the room rent.
More expensive rooms require a higher cost.
Q: How do I get the benefits?
A: After you've fought enough battles to satisfy the incubation Time
requirement, visit the Arrange screen. You may have to exit and enter
the Arrange screen multiple times in order to trigger the bonus.
Q: My benefits aren't showing up! HELP!
A: Make sure you went into enough battles, and see previous question.
Q: Are bonuses cumulative?
A: Most are. There's a limit to some, such as the Pyremage (Cleaner).
They won't add anymore than 9 unit spots in a room. Others will
continue to pump out benefits every incubation period.
Q: Can I use Change and keep my Vibes?
A: NO! Using Change will erase your Vibes. You can't lock a room with
Bad Vibes in it. Kotoro is the exception, but he yields no benefits
like the others.
Listing of Bad Vibes
Name: What it appears/says in-game when you attempt to Design in the
room.
Looks Like: What the unit occupying the room looks like
Time: How long it takes for the Vibes (in battles) to produce an effect.
Only story and inspection battles count for this.
Cost: The cost of having that vibe in the room. This is multiplied by
the base room value. This will show up at the end of every battle on
the results screen.
Result: What happens after (Time) x (Battles) have occured. All of the
results can happen multiple times as long as you don't clean out
the vibes. To access a result, visit the Arrange screen. Sometimes
it takes multiple visits to the Arrange screen (especially after a
story battle) to obtain your results. You can only obtain the results
once per Arrange visit. If you have a Pyremage Bad Vibe and fight
in 6x battles, then visit the Arrange screen, you'll only have one
freed slot in the room. You MUST visit after each Time is incremented
to receive full bonuses.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Heartful Bank is an easy way to make some extra GP. Later on, GP doesn't
matter, so I would skip out on these. It's SUPPOSED to give you 1.5x the GP
that you put into them in Cost, but sometimes it doesn't function/track
properly. For instance, if the room rent was 1000 GP, you'd pay them 2000 GP
each battle. After 1 battle, they "mature", and you can visit the Arrange
screen to trigger them giving you cash. They don't always give the proper
amount. I've had them give me 130,000 GP per battle on a 4000 GP rent.
So ya... profit of 3200%.
**Kotaro is a neutral Knight unit that joins you. He's usually several levels
ahead of the main character. You can also freely manipulate the room he's
residing in, and form a unit with him (but you can't move his starting slot).
He will go away after one battle. He will however, last through multiple
inspections, so use this. He has no Time or Cost values, and only disappears
if you summon him for a fight.
Tips and Hints With Vibes
1. Cleaners are one of the best Bad Vibes you can get. You can get these
REALLY early, and they'll create a 9x9 room for you. Unfortunately, you
can't get these on the main character's room, so you're stuck with either
your Home rooms, or Change rooms.
Los Banditos - This room is an awesome candidate for Cleaners. Using the
fixed decor in it, you can create a powerful unit that acts as soon as it
gets summoned. It will help you level through Home Inspections to free up
additional slots for your main character's squad. After your secondary
units have a lot of ACT, this room isn't so great, but starting out, it's
one of the better rooms for backup squads.
2. Fertile Land is another great unit. The Grow edict can be used to used
to grab up some generic character units that you normally wouldn't have
access to. For instance, using Grow on a Drache Decor, you could "grow"
a Drache unit. Extremely useful early on. Not so much later. Also note
that they give THE BEST unit enhancement Decors. The Decors yield
+50%dmg to a class, in addition to -50% incoming dmg from that class.
If you plan on fighting units with a large monotonous force (like Archers
or Pyremages), try and grab their Class Enhancer Decor from this guy to
protect yourself and deal extra damage. Gypsy is also highly recommend
for certain story battles.
3. Beyond Clouds is great. It's expensive, but GP doesn't matter later.
Keep this guy on there, and visit him every 2 battles. I recommend RP.
Just keep pumping him out with RP, then clear him, and reap massive
amounts of RP. This is very useful for following playthroughs of the game,
where you need to clear a lot of story battles anyways (might as well
get some RP too!). His decors seem pretty random, and you CAN get some
powerful ones early on, but chances are you'll just get crappy ones that
you could easily buy yourself. Same thing with Edicts... easily obtained.
You gain 1000 RP per trigger on his event. It's a fixed amount, so try
and get one of these guys in a low-rent room.
4. Kotaro is uber. Okay... maybe not so much. But he's fun to play around
with, and he's always a bit higher level than your main character. The
main advantage to this guy is that you can decor out the room he's in
(HINT: Try Vengeful Hope, Shadow Spy, Silent Walk and Living Now).
The biggest advantage is that you can use him in Inspection rooms multiple
times, and not have to risk your main character dying. You can also stick
in other units with him, unlike other Bad Vibes. He works well in rooms
like Gladiatorium, Open Area, and Los Banditos. Clowns Abound can work
as well with him, just as a decoy to lure off enemies to free up your
main force into attacking a sentry/tyrant. Fist Dojo (Death Fist decor)
works really well too, because honestly, you don't care if he gains
XP or not. USE THIS GUY TO YOUR ADVANTAGE!!!
