(sorry to write in english; way easier for my typing skills, especially at my lunch time at work)
1. except A BIT of counter-strike and time crisis, i have never played shooting genre games, both first person shooting and third person 's; and i have never had any great interest in these.
2.and all i play in my recent 10 years are mainly fighting(KOF, SF...), action(ninja gaiden, tenchu...), and rpg (FFX international , shinning force 3), srpg(breath of fire PS2, disgaea...)
3.MGS4 is my first shooting or shooting+stealth game. to me, the gameplay is great; the story , ideology, design and presentation of both characters and the game's perspective of its world are GREAT. even a outsider like me enjoy these, but of course i do have some concept of war economy introduced by the anime '' ghost in the shell'' and ''gundam'', as well as some basic stealth skill TAUGHT by tenchu...
4. i agree with mr. bulb in 18th floor in this topic. try the gameplay first. go through the MGS4 storyline once. search answer backward for what you didnt understand. this game has been design to suit both gamers who have or have not play MG before, simply by explaining a lot of the background in the game's cutscene. you will find yourself watching a lot movie while gaming, a lot more than you do while playing , eg, FFX... and of course, you cant rely on these movies all the way, and you still have to do some research and homework for MGS, of which i think is not a problem for a rpg players. |
