Mario Kart World reportedly has a 120FPS mode

Nintendo will be introducing games supporting 120 frames per second on Switch 2, and based on what we’re hearing, Mario Kart World is one such title that will make use of that.

Only a few whispers are out there at the moment. One of the main sites reporting on this is Engadget, following a hands-on session. The site writes: “Racing has never looked this smooth on any Nintendo console and this game might be the best first-party showcase of the Switch 2’s upgraded display and performance.”

Metroid Prime 4 is another upcoming Nintendo-published title that will offer a 120 FPS mode. However, that’s a game being made on Nintendo Switch 1 while also offering a Switch 2 Edition. Players can choose to run it at 1080p at 120 FPS or 4K at 60 FPS.

Nintendo plans to share much more on Mario Kart World via a Direct presentation, which you can read about here. And in other news, a leak revealed that Rainbow Road will be in the game, though not many were surprised to hear that.

其实我更想有个2K模式，1080P太糊，有些3A 4K应该又难稳60fps(⁠ ͡⁠°⁠ᴥ⁠ ͡⁠°⁠ ⁠ʋ⁠)…我家PC都跑2K 60fps up觉得足够

N64支持浮点运算，而且是现代架构3D主机。
