With the recent announcement that alternate costumes would be put up for sale on the Xbox Live Marketplace, many were left wondering what that meant as far as content on the disc goes. Unfortunately, it's a look at what's to come. Itagaki told us that only a handful of extra costumes would be on the disc and that they would all simply be color variations of the first. These will be unlocked as you play through the game. Any costumes that look structurally different will have to be purchased and downloaded, though Itagaki was quick to stress that these are not on the disc and simply unlocked with a download code. Furthermore, the extra costumes were not initially going to be part of the game and have only been recently created. We got a look at these costumes during our play session and, despite the fact that they cost a pretty penny, we have to say they look mighty cool.
Itagaki confirmed that there will be another Master Ninja Tournament, but it won't be exactly the same as it has been in the past. This one will be more focused on the community aspects. That's good news to us, but not quite enough to belay our disappointment that there won't be a Mission Mode in Ninja Gaiden 2. When we asked Itagaki about it, he told us he wasn't a fan of it in Ninja Gaiden Black and that it would take on a slightly different form if he was to do it again.
Though the preview build we recently got a look at was far from complete in the latter playable portions, the build on hand today looked and played swimmingly. We tried our hands at the seventh stage which takes place on an airship similar to the one in Ninja Gaiden. This level was chock full of enemies we haven't yet seen ranging from a wicked Alien-esque creature with blades sticking out of its back like wings to a mechanical contraption that housed a little brain slug. Nasty critters all of them.
And though Itagaki isn't a fan of the mission mode, we did get a look at one a side challenge called a Test of Valor. The MS rep on hand told us that these arena battles are accessible after beating the game. That's reason enough for us to keep playing. The one we tried continuously spawned enemies as we took out wave after wave until we succumbed to the onslaught.
第一段是说盘里自带的服装爆机一次就可获得，但只不过会是颜色换一下，真正不同的服装要上LIVE花钱下。。。后两段大概是说第七关有段有点和NG中***那关类似，仍会有超忍联赛（Master Ninja Tournament)但会与前作不同，而且由于硫酸自己对任务模式不感冒所以就不准备加入任务模式了。。。会加入个竞技场挑战模式，类似于DMC的血宫，一波接一波的敌人会上来给你砍或者砍你。. |
