Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced today that with immediate effect, the recommended retail price of PlayStation 2 is to be reduced to ?04.99.

Commenting on the price change, David Reeves, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, said, "PlayStation 2 has enjoyed phenomenal success, and the time has now come to go well beyond our 24 million PAL PlayStation 2 owners. There are already over 1,000 games titles available, and many more new ones like Gran Turismo 4, The Getaway: Black Monday, Singstar Party, EyeToy Play 2 and Killzone, all to be published by SCEE, and titles such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas from Take 2 and Burnout 3: Takedown from Electronic Arts still to come this year."

"The new price point of ?04.99, together with these new titles, will make it both affordable and exciting for everybody to enjoy the fun of PlayStation gaming, and will ensure that PlayStation 2 continues to be the computer entertainment system of choice for an ever widening and diversifying audience."


SCEE(SONY娱乐-欧洲)今日决定主机售价下调致?04.99(原先是?39.99)...按目前汇率来算下调了将近RMB 520!!!....相信SONY的这次讲价势必会引发XBOX的降价...

个人觉得降价的原因还有一点就是为了尽快把库存的PS2销售掉...因为今年圣诞还要发售捆绑BB及FFXI的主机,估计会采用新型号...

以上消息是针对欧洲市场....

今年比去年的PS2好像便宜了200多了，看来PS2还有很多水分啊
越便宜质量越差。。。。。。。。。
