出自拉丁文的” 莺”的学名.
旧大陆的各种莺色彩非常单一，以一种颜色为主，如绿色、橄榄色、棕色、浅黄色、黑色。它们的个体比较小，大约在9—26厘米之间。细小的喙适合于从 树叶中捕捉小昆虫。





很符合ＸＦＡ－２４那种经济型的特征





FREGATA


也是一个鸟的学名:军舰鸟.
军舰鸟的身体很轻，翅膀很长，黑色的羽毛闪烁着绿紫色的金属光泽。军舰鸟是海鸟中优秀的飞行能手之一。它俯冲时最大的时速可以达到153公里。和FREGATA的4发高速机还真称.






WYVERN

飞龙------X-02的代号.
飞龙（Wyvern/Wivern）是西方一种传说生物。Wyvern一词源于古法语wiver，而wiver又来自拉丁词vpera，义为“毒蛇（viper）”。飞龙形象频繁出现于中世纪的纹章中。该种纹章一般为立式。它们被描绘为似龙而小，仅具双足，爪趾如飞禽，双翼披鳞或带羽，尾生倒刺或呈蛇状。一般来说飞龙不能喷火，但也有例外。在纹章学中，它象征瘟疫、征服等等。
飞龙有两种变体：水飞龙（Sea-Wyvern）生就一条鱼尾，而鳞虫（Lindworm）比起飞龙来，往往少了腿或翅膀。

在龙与地下城设定中，飞龙的尾巴变成了双岔的毒刺，翅膀上长满鳞片。它们的智力不高，往往对玩家充满敌意。 在星际争霸中，飞龙是Zerg族的基本空中作战单位。可升级两种高级形态。

FENRIR------魔狼·芬利尔（フェンリル、Fenrir）北欧神话中，邪神洛基与女巨人Angrboda所生的三个孩子之一，是张开嘴即可吞噬天地的巨大的狼的姿态，在诸神的黄昏中杀死了奥丁神。

He is depicted as a sea-monster.

In demonology Forneus is a Great Marquis of Hell, and has twenty-nine legions of demons under his rule.

就以上总结下发现，AC的原创机起名很有意思，除了神话外，借用鸟类动物和海洋生物都比较多。
而且...他们的外形非常像学名中引用的对象，尤其在三代
