Digital Devil Saga 1 game save file

Hi, got a problem here, i just finished playing DDS 1 japanese version, then when i was trying to play DDS 2, I found out I cannot load back the save from DDS 1, anyone know how to do it? or why? thanks in advance.

ピコ！your DDS2 is japanese version too?  if it's also the japanese version, i think there should be no problem,cheek your save file again~~~~~~~~~

游戏开始就会提示是否读取DDS1的记录,选择"是"就行......

另外,美日版的记录是不能通用的......

Are you sure you have put the memory card which has zhe DDS1 save data into the slot1 memory card slot of your PS2? The game only reads the memory card in the slot1.

thanks for reminding me, i only try the load game option, didn't try the new game option in the beginning, thanks so much for helping guys
