微软正式公布了专门针对Xbox 360用户的Xbox Live Arcade下载服务细节。根据微软公布的细节，在Xbox 360开始发售的同时，将有超过20款Xbox 360游戏可以通过Xbox Live Arcade服务付费下载到用户Xbox 360当中。

　　这些通过付费下载的Xbox 360游戏体积都比较小。尽管微软这次公布的游戏大部分都没有什么名气，但是其中不乏大牌厂商的作品，如Midway推出的Gauntlet、Smash TV和Robotron 2084。

　　微软表示，这些通过Xbox Live Arcade下载的游戏将定期发布游戏补丁，同时到2006年将有35款Xbox 360游戏采用这种发行方式。另外，微软透露，首批发行的20款游戏当中就有著名的《俄罗斯方块》作者Alexey Pajitnov研发的游戏－Hexic HD，它也是一款智力解迷游戏。

　　超过40家游戏厂商宣布支持Xbox 360的付费下载游戏业务，其中包括EA、UBisoft、Sega和Konami等等。
