Action-RPG sequel Champions: Return to Arms is officially gold and ready to hit manufacturing, according to an announcement today from Sony Online Entertainment.

SOE once again worked with Snowblind Studios (the good folks behind the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance engine) to create a follow-up to Champions of Norrath. The new title takes players back to the EverQuest world of Norrath, and this time out introduces two new playable races, thousands of new items, more character customization, and of course, an entirely new quest to complete.

Return to Arms also offers free online support: up to four players can journey through the game's adventures together.

Look for Return to Arms to reach stores on February 7.
