不认识的来了,好歹这位之前已有风声;我厂首位芬兰球员吗?
Arsenal have confirmed the signing of teenage defender Carl Jenkinson from London rivals Charlton.
The announcement comes at the same time as young Gunners Benik Afobe, Chuks Aneke and Oguzhan Ozyakup committed their futures at Emirates Stadium.
Jenkinson is predominantly a right-back, but is also capable of playing at centre-back and he made nine appearances for Charlton's first team.
The 19-year-old was born in England and has represented the Three Lions at youth level, but he also captained Finland's Under 19s last season having qualified through his mother.
A statement on the Gunners' official website said with regard to Jenkinson, Afobe, Aneke and Ozyakup: "Everyone at Arsenal would like to welcome Carl to the club and look forward to the continued progression of all four players in the years to come."
Jenkinson told Charlton's official website: "I will always be in Charlton's debt for the training they have given me since a young age.
"I'm grateful to the club's Academy and all the coaching staff, so I'm delighted the two clubs have come to an agreement.
"I hope supporters will understand why I can't turn down such an opportunity, but Charlton will always have a place in my heart." |
