Xbox 360 3D announcement tonight?

Microsoft looks set to unveil its Xbox 360 3D plans, if a pair of game reveals today are anything to go by.

First off, German dev Crytek's announced that Crysis 2 will be available in stereoscopic 3D when it launches later this year.

THQ followed later today announcing that de Blob 2: The Underground will launch on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 3D.

Microsoft's is also said to be preparing an announcement of its 3D plans "soon" according to Blitz Game Studios co-founder Andrew Oliver.

Microsoft's rivals are of course already waving the 3D flag at this year's E3, with Nintendo set to unveil the Nintendo 3DS and Sony already having released PS3's 3D update last week.

Microsoft's E3 press conference is due to kick off at 6:30 pm BST.
