PS3 Software – The only PS3 game to chart was Final Fantasy XIII. In the final data, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Winning Eleven, and Assassin’s Creed 2 should also top 5,000 units in Japan though. Standalone copies of Final Fantasy XIII totaled slightly over 1.25m for the week, after topping 1m day one according to Square-Enix. This is in line with previous Final Fantasy titles which tend to rise about 20% from day one to week one. Square-Enix also worked with Sony to provide a PS3 + FFXIII bundle. We’re estimating the bundle sold about 100,000 units. With PS3 already at 75,000 last week, the system would have been at about ~100,000 without Final Fantasy. Therefore, because of the holiday season and Final Fantasy XIII, we expect PS3 hardware sales to rise to 175,000 to 225,000 units for the week..
