Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Nintendo Switch 2 physical release can be played on Switch

Marvelous has shared some interesting information about how the Nintendo Switch 2 physical release of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma works.

First, we should note that the entire game is on the cartridge. That means the Upgrade Pack is already present – you won’t need to download anything extra. Marvelous has decided to go with a 64GB to ensure that everything is included.

The physical release is also fully compatible with both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch 1. When you pop in the Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma on Switch 1, the game will recognize that version properly. The same goes with Nintendo Switch 2, and again, the Upgrade Pack is already installed.

Marvelous says that “there may be small updates or patches available at launch to provide minor fixes and improvements, but rest assured: the complete game is on the game card, ready to play from day one.”

比这个更有意思的是……从他们的表达来看，这个卡带同时兼容Switch1和Switch2，而且插在Switch2上并不是被识别为1代卡带，它就是2代卡。

NS2发布以来给人的感觉就是混乱。

一张ns1卡带但用的是ns2的盒子，真正的ns2独占的卡带我相信ns1是读不了的，比如马车世界。

连官方网站都这样说了，应该是错不了

但记忆好像没有游戏片是“反向前代相容”很佛心

讲真，如果我没记错的话，这个功能不是Marvelous或任天堂发明的。
其实阿光你可以了解一下微软的智能分发（smart delivery）技术。一些存在Xbox one和Xbox Series版本的游戏使用了技术，然后当它们的实体版或数字版在Xbox one或Xbox Series上启动的时候，游戏将自动安装正确的版本。
然后阿光你可以在香港特区的实体店里寻找一下《极限竞速地平线5》的实体版。它是支持智能分发技术的游戏之一。

话说他们的表达使我想到了微软的智能分发（smart delivery）技术。
