No UMD Solution for the PSPgo?
North America misses an incentive program as well.

September 24, 2009 - Earlier today, Sony announced a PSPgo rewards program for existing PSP owners in European territories wishing to upgrade to the slimmer, sexier model.
Since the PSPgo is UMD-less, there's little incentive for customers to upgrade and be stuck with a pile of unplayable games. Sony's solution is to give those customers three free digital download titles from a selection of 17, including Resistance: Retribution, Patapon, and Wipeout Pure.
But this same offer is not currently planned for SCEA regions, a Sony representative told IGN.
"We have a dual platform strategy," the rep said. "PSPgo is the latest offering in our portable entertainment products targeted for the digitally savvy and early adopters who are looking for an easy way to experience entertainment and a wide variety of digital content."
"We will continue to be committed to our existing PSP users by offering over 16,000 pieces of digital content including games, mini's, movies, television shows and SensMe, the new music application as well as UMDs," the rep added.
If you were hoping for a solution to transfer all your UMD-based games to your new PSPgo, it doesn't seem like one is coming anytime soon.

发言人另外表示：“我们将对已经购买了老版PSP的消费者负责，你们也将享受到超过一万六千种的高贵的下载娱乐项目，包括游戏，MINI游戏，电影，电视剧，还有新的音乐，这些都将以UMD之外的方式提供给你们享用”
IGN点评：如果你还奢望着索尼提供能把你现有的UMD游戏转换到你的新P狗中的方法，这在近期内无论如何都是不现实的（换言之以后就更不现实了，你觉得新买家购入P狗后的软件匮乏期都过了，索尼还有提供解决方法的必要吗？） [s:257]. |
