Thanks to the post "Loot Tables and Exp Stuff (Possible spoilers)", we have the loot tables. I ran some numbers comparing HoH runs to 3-4 farming. Feel free to check my math.
Disclaimers:
- These calculations are for red armor only. There are other red items you will get, but this is for red armor only.
- This does not factor in obelisks, because I'm not sure which ones are using the "large" loot table.
- The numbers posted are rounded off for clarity, but the subsequent calculations are using exact values.
- The expected results are averages. Obviously randomness means some people will find items much more quickly, and some will find items much more rarely.
- Spiders count as leaders, but Trolls do not [confirmed using Kill Leaders charm].
HoH
----
GRNDL has 6 drops. With 15% loot drop bonus, that averages to 6.9 drops. Each has a 0.8% chance to drop a red armor. That gives a 5.4% chance to drop a red armor.
There are also approximately 5 leaders on your way to GRNDL (the one at the bottom of the elevator is only there sometimes, but you can also choose to do the first hidden challenge to fight a leader). Leaders drop 2 items, with 15% bonus gives 2.3. Each has a 0.1% chance to drop a red armor. That gives a 0.23% chance per leader. Since there are 5 leaders, you get a 1.14% chance that one of them will drop a red armor.
Combine the leaders with GRNDL and your grand total is a 6.47% chance to get a red armor. You should expect to see a red armor drop once every 15 or 16 runs. It takes me 25 minutes to run HoH, so that's one set piece every 386 minutes.

There are 6 goblin leaders. Using the drop chance calculated above, 6 of them provide a 1.37% chance of a red armor.
There are also 3 spiders. Spiders seem to drop 4 items (4.6 with 15% loot drop). This gives 0.46% chance for an armor drop off a spider. With 3 spiders, the chance is 1.37%.
Combine the spiders with goblin leaders and your grand total is a 2.72% chance to get a red armor. You should expect to see a red armor drop once every 36 or 37 runs. It takes me about 7.5 minutes to run 3-4, so that's one set piece every 275 minutes..作者: zod 时间: 2008-9-11 15:53
